About the Presentation
Long before he was the PMIWDC VP of Marketing and Public
Relations,
Mr. Bob Mahler was a Green Beret in the U.S. Army. From 1992 through
1998 he conducted military operations in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Kenya,
Qatar, Egypt and even Iraq. As a Special Forces communication’s expert
on a military freefall team he was the team’s lifeline in the event of
an emergency. Planning for mission-critical communications is a key
part of the overall project success and an enabler for every other
facet of the deployment.
The United States Army Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets because of their distinctive service headgear, are a special operations force tasked with six primary missions: unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, direct action, hostage rescue, and counter-terrorism.
Mr. Bob Mahler’s dinner topic, Special Forces Project Leadership, will focus on those skills he developed as a Green Beret that he has applied to a range of projects. He is a PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a PMI Certified Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), and has an MBA. He is also the VP of Marketing for PMIWDC and provides classroom instruction for PMP boot camps as an instructor for Velociteach.
So come out to dinner in Crystal City on January 17th, 2012. It’s
sure to be a memorable experience!
Metro Accessible via Crystal City Metro. Follow exit signs for Crystal Gateway Marriott to enter lobby directly.
