Project Management for Social Good: Bringing the Power of Project Management to People & Communities Throughout the World
Imagine a world in which projects are the currency of learning in primary and secondary schools, teachers value project management as a professional competency, the accidental project manager is replaced by generations of students choosing project management as an education and career, and disaster and emergency management organizations, along with all other nonprofits, execute projects more effectively and thereby use donor dollars more efficiently.
The presentation will include an overview of the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF), the Foundation’s mission and vision, relationship with PMI and an overview of the programs including:
- Academic Scholarships – to help students achieve their dreams through education
- K-12 Programs – to help students prepare to be successful in life
- Non Profit and Non Governmental Program – to help non profits and NGOs develop their project management skills and function more efficiently
About the Speaker:
Diane Fromm, Program Administrator
Diane Fromm has been the Program Administrator for the PMI Educational Foundation for the past five years. She manages the all on the PMIEF programs including grants, program development, partnerships and scholarships. Her previous experience includes management positions in sales and marketing in the IT Industry. She volunteers for the local YMCA and Red Cross.

A Corporate Table allows you to reserve a marked table at our monthly Membership dinner, with room for 10 of your representatives at the $50 per person rate regardless of whether or not your representatives are members of PMI!
You can designate your attendees in advance, or leave the seats open for maximum flexibility. Corporate tables are a great way for your organization to show support for PMIWDC while at the same time giving your team discounted access to quality educational content.
